Sahara – Day 6

My crevices are very sandy.

Sand dune deserts are magnificent places to spend the night and on a clear and warm night you may choose to take your sleeping mat out into the open air and truly sleep under the stars. After breakfast the hiking continues – accompanied as ever by our team of trusty camels – and all you will encounter today is sand! We will cross wave after wave of golden dunes as we make our way south and then westwards across the Erg Chegaga range of dunes until we arrive at our wild camp for the night. The dunes provide virtual endless photo opportunities and sunset and sunrise times are particularly scenic as the dunes take on a rich orange hue. Camp fire and overnight camping in the dunes at In Toba.
